I’m confused but way intrigued by this Freshman Roommates script news in Variety. Written by comedians John Mulaney and Nick Kroll, it’s apparently based-around the Nigerian prince email scams with Tracy Morgan attached to star. The subject matter initially is off-putting to me- aren’t those spam letters a used-up reference? - but when you consider the writers I have hope it could be like a late-eighties early nineties comedy…Maybe even Coming to America- ish.

I feel lucky to have seen Kroll and Mulaney do stand up in New York, they are two of the funniest peope I have known of. My favorite thing they’ve done is the I Love the 30’s videos, in my opinion still the smartest, best comedy on the internet.

Still, Freshman Roommates sounds weird. Stay tuned…
