Trailer: Paul Dano, Zoey Deschanel in Gigantic

No doubt a woman possessed to land herself at the top spot on 2009’s Manic Pixie Dream Girl list, Zooey Deschanel pairs Gigantic with the sunshiney Sundance hit 500 Days of Summer for an early start out of the gate.  Written and directed by Matt Aselton as a first-time outing, Gigantic stars Paul Dano as Brian, a mopey-faced mattress salesman whose quest for an adopted baby from China (yes sir) gets more complicated once he falls for Harriet (Deschanel), aka Happy (yes again). Only Harriet’s blustering art-collecting father (John Goodman) stands in the way.  Also stars Ed Asner and Jane Alexander. Scheduled release: April 3, 2009. (via Trailer Spy)
