1. I’ve been accused of being biased in my love for Apatow productions, that I just blindly follow instead of critique. So I apologize for my forthcoming blubbering, but I think Funny People looks incredibly interesting and fun. The background story of Adam Sandler and Judd Apatow’s personal relationship (they lived together way back when, Sandler found success performing but it took Apatow longer to find his stride) seems to inform this plot (as does Apatow’s relationship with comedian Gary Shandling), with Seth Rogen once again serving as a conduit for Judd’s real-life experiences. And as for Funny People’s star: I may have hated Sandler’s last three broad comedies, but it’s very possible this movie could feature a Punch Drunk Love -esque performance from him.

Film also features Jonah Hill, Jason Schwartzman, Leslie Mann, Eric Bana, RZA, and up-n-coming comedians Aziz Ansari and Aubrey Plaza
